Behind every swing of the bat and every design we choose is the Bruce family’s journey. We began at Long Beach State, building Dirtbag Baseball on discipline and unity. From cross-country moves to championship runs and heartbreaks, our family stood firm on faith, chasing a calling rather than a career. Coaching wasn't just our job — it was our ministry.

We lived by “We are the home team.” 

Through it all, Heather dreamed of a space where everyone — moms, girlfriends, players — could feel seen, stylish, and connected to the game we love.

Our story is rooted in Scripture:

• Micah 6:8 — Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly.
  - Philippians 2:3–4 — Do nothing out of selfish ambition... value others above yourselves.
  
• These verses guide our family and the way we treat our community. We honor the past while raising up the next generation of Dirtbags with integrity, selflessness, and toughness.

Why Bruce Dugout Was Created

When Heather and TJ looked around the stands, they didn’t just see fans. They saw family. But there wasn’t a place where that family could wear something that felt as real and gritty as the game itself. The vision was simple: build a brand that invites every member of the Dirtbag community to show up with pride. It had to be faith‑led, family‑centered, and unapologetically blue‑collar — Carhartt meets pinstripes, with a heartbeat that says: you belong here.

What We Believe

- Faith first. We walk humbly and trust God to guide our steps.
- Family always. Everything begins and ends at home. We win and lose together, and we welcome new members into our dugout with open arms.
- Team over self. The Dirtbag way means discipline, integrity, brotherhood, accountability, grit, and selflessness.
- Legacy over trends. This isn’t fast fashion. This is heritage. Every stitch honors the players and families who built this program.
- Grit forever. We show up. We play with purpose. We do the hard work no one sees because that’s where character is forged.

The Family Behind the Brand

Heather and TJ Bruce are parents, coaches, dreamers, and believers. TJ started his coaching career at Long Beach State, where Dirtbag Baseball forged its identity. Heather brings California freedom and Texas big love to every design, ensuring women feel strong, loyal, and connected. Together with their kids, they’ve traveled, sacrificed, celebrated, and mourned — never losing sight of their calling. Bruce Dugout is their love letter to the sport and the community that shaped them.

As you pull on one of our tees or hats, we hope you’re transported back to a sun‑baked bleacher. To the scent of fresh‑cut grass and kettle corn, to the sound of the bat cracking, to strangers who become family with a simple nod. We see the little boy with a cap too big, eyes wide and heart full, and we feel the warmth of a mother’s embrace as she cheers. In our dugout, faith and grit are palpable — in the dusty air, in the smiles shared after a hard day’s work, in the way we show up for each other. That’s the feeling we carry in every stitch.

Dear Home Team,

From the first time we stepped onto a diamond together, we knew this game was more than a pastime. It’s our ministry, our community, and our family. Bruce Dugout is born from dusty fields, long bus rides, and late-night prayers. It’s for the kids who dream under stadium lights and the moms who fold uniforms while cheering in the stands. It’s for dads who throw endless batting practice and grandparents who never miss a game. It’s for every Dirtbag, past and future.
